Shaker Corn Sticks

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
3 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon oil
1 each egg
1/2 cup flour
1 cup butter milk
1 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoon cornmeal

Beat all ingredients together, blending thoroughly. Heat greased iron corn stick molds, until hot enough to sizzle. Fill individual molds to half full. Bake at 450 degrees, 10 minutes, or until brown.

Yield: 8 servings
