Shaker Country Chicken Soup
fruits, poultry, soups, vegetables
1 each carrot
3/4 cup celery
1 each green pepper
1 each onion
1 cup cooked chicken, diced
1 each apple, peeled, sliced
4 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 each whole cloves
1 teaspoon parsley
1 cup tomatoes
4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon salt
3 cup milk
Chop carrot, celery, green pepper, and onion. Cook in butter until tender. Add chicken, and all other ingredients accept milk. Simmer covered, for 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add milk and bring to boil.
Yield: 6 servings
