Shaker Fried Corn

1 1/2 cup whole kernel corn
1 tablespoon bacon grease
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup hot water
4 tablespoon butter

Melt bacon grease in skillet. Add corn, sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour in hot water, and break butter into small pieces over corn. Cook about 5-10 minutes. Serve hot.

Yield: 8 servings
