Shaker Fried Cornmeal Mush

3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup cold water

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil and add salt. Add cornmeal to cold water and gradually add to boiling water. Stir well while cooking. When done, consistency will be vary thick and bubbley. Mold in loaf pan, and allow to stand over night. Slice, and roll in cornmeal. Pan fry when ready to serve. Shaker Fried Mush can be served hot, with syrup. However, it is also delicious served with roast and gravy, or topped with beef hash.
