Shaker Hard Sauce

1 each stick butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla, or
2 tablespoon brandy

Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add salt, and vanilla or brandy. Place in refrigerator until firm.

Yield: 12 servings
