Shaker Lemon Sauce For Jelly Roll

1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 tablespoon butter
1 cup boiling water
1/8 teaspoon salt

Combine sugar and corn starch. Gradually add boiling water. Boil, 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add all other ingredients. Serve sauce hot on sliced jelly roll.

Yield: 24 servings
