Shaker Pumpkin Bread

3 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon cinnamon
3 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup pumpkin
4 each eggs
1 cup nuts
1 cup raisins

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar, in a large bowl. Add water, oil, pumpkin, and eggs. Beat until smooth. Add nuts and raisins. Pour into a well greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees, 45-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan before serving. Freezes well.

Yield: 12 servings
