Shaker Stewed Tomato Quarters

1 each stick butter, melted
1 tablespoon onion, chopped
1 can tomato quarters, or fresh
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 tablespoon green pepper, chopped
Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add onion and green pepper and cook until tender, but do not brown. Add remaining ingredients and cook gently and quickly until hot.
Yield: 4 servings
