BB: MAPLE CINNAMON SYRUP

1/4 cup packed brown sugar, or:
2 tablespoon brown sugar, plus:
1/2 teaspoon sweet and low brown
1 teaspoon corn starch
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup skim milk, plus:
2 tablespoon skim milk
1 tablespoon liquid butter buds
1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring

Combine sugar, corn starch, and cinnamon, in a small sauce pan, stirring well. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add liquid butter buds, and maple flavoring, stirring until mixed. Serve warm over whole wheat pan cakes. Makes 1 cup. Serve in 2 tablespoon portions. Per serving, all sugar: fat 0 G, cholesterol 0.5 MG, fiber 0 G, calories 35, 0 percent calories from fat, protein 0.5 G, carbohydrate 8 G, sodium 26 MG. Per serving, one half sweet and low: calories 22, carbohydrate 4.5 G.
