Spiced Mandarin Mold

1 can mandrin oranges, 11oz
1 each stick cinnamon, 6 inch
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pkg lemon jello, 6oz
1 cup orange juice
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Drain oranges, reserving syrup. Add enough water to syrup, to make 1 3/4 cups. In saucepan, combine syrup mixture, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add Jello to syrup mixture. Stir over low heat, till Jello is dissolved. Strain out stick cinnamon and whole cloves. Add orange juice and cold water. Chill till partially set. Fold drained oranges and nuts into partially set Jello mixture. Turn into Jello mold. Chill till firm, 4 hours, or over night.

Yield: 8 servings
