Sundae Sauce

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 cup whipping cream
1 each stick butter
2 teaspoon vanilla

In heavy 2 quart sauce pan heat sugar, cocoa, cream, and butter to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove sauce pan from heat, and stir in vanilla. Cool sauce slightly to serve warm or to serve later, cool completely. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 week. Reheat before using. Makes about 2 2/3 cups.

Yield: 12 servings
