Super Sandwich Braid

1 pkg active dry yeast
3/4 cup luke warm water
4 cup whole wheat yeast bun mix
1 each egg, beaten
2 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon dill seed
1 pkg dried or smoked beef chopped
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated

In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in luke warm water, (110-115 degrees, on cooking thermometer). Add Bun Mix, and thoroughly combine with yeast mixture. Add egg, mix well. Turn onto lightly floured pastry board. Knead until smooth. Cover dough, let rise 10 minutes. On lightly floured pastry board, roll dough into 14-9 inch rectangle. Cut dough lengthwise into 3, 14-3 inch strips. Brush strips with some melted butter. Sprinkle with dill seed. Sprinkle 1/3 of beef and cheese lengthwise, down center of strip of dough. Bring lengthwise edges of strip together, enclosing filling. Pinch edges together to seal. Repeat with remaining dough strips and filling. Place strips side by side, on large, greased pastry board, seam side down. Braid together and secure ends. Cover, let dough rise till nearly double in bulk, about 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees, 25-30 minutes, or till done. Transfer to wire rack. Brush loaf with remaining melted butter. Serve warm. Makes 1 loaf.
