SWEET AND SOUR MEAT BALLS: (Freezer Meat Balls)

1 can pineapple chunks, 20oz
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup vinegar
24 each meat balls
1 each green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoon corn starch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold water
1 can mandrian oranges drain, 11oz

Drain pineapple, reserving syrup, and set pineapple chunks aside. Pour pineapple syrup in saucepan. Add maple syrup to pineapple syrup. Add vinegar. Add meat balls, and bring mixture to a boil. Simmer, covered, 15 minutes, or till meat balls are hot. Add chopped green pepper to meat ball mixture. Stir together corn starch and salt. Stir in water. Blend into mixture in saucepan. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1/2 minutes longer. Add drained pineapple and Mandrian orange sections. Cook till heated through. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Yield: 6 servings
