BB: TURKEY BURGERS

3 lb ground turkey white meat
3/4 cup grated zucchini squash
2 can sliced mushrooms, 8oz
1 pkg dried onion soup mix
1/2 cup barbicue sauce
8 each slices nonfat cheese
8 each wonder nonfat buns

Drain and chop mushrooms. In a bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Form meat into patties. Place patties in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before cooking. Grill on outdoor or indoor grill, for best results. Baste patties with barbicue sauce while cooking. Cook about 5-7 minutes on each side. Place a slice of nonfat cheese on the top of each patty for the last minute of cooking time. Serve on low fat buns, with lettuce, tomato, and any other garnish desired. If using mayonaise be sure and use the nonfat variety. Makes 8, 6 ounce patties. Per serving: fat 2.5 G, cholesterol 104 MG, fiber 3 G, calories 325, 7 percent calories from fat, protein 52 G, carbohydrate 18 G, sodium 749 MG.
