BB: WARM APPLE PAN CAKE TOPPING

3/4 cup sliced green apples
1/4 cup orange juice
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoon brown sugar, or:
1/4 teaspoon sweet and low brown
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Bring to a boil, apples, orange juice, and nutmeg. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and mash apples until smooth. Stir in sugar, and almond extract. Makes 1 cup. Serve in 2 tablespoon portions. Per serving, all sugar: fat 0 G, cholesterol 0 MG, fiber .5 G, calories 14, 0 percent calories from fat, protein 0 G, carbohydrate 3.5 G, sodium 0 MG. Per serving, one half sweet and low: calories 10, carbohydrate 2.5 G.
