BEEF STEAK PIE: (Easy Egg Pastry Crusts)

1 each beef round steak, cubed
1/4 cup flour
1 each onion, chopped
2 tablespoon butter
2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cup raw, diced, potatoes
1 each pie crust, 9 inch

Dredge beef cubes in flour. In large skillet, cook beef cubes and onion in butter till beef is brown and onion is tender. Add water, salt, thyme, and pepper, to skillet. Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add potato. Cover and simmer 20 minutes longer. Turn meat mixture into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place crust over hot meat mixture. Seal edges of crust to casserole. Cut slits in pastry to vent steam. Brush pastry with milk. Bake at 450 degrees, 15 minutes, or till pastry is golden.
