Best Biscuits

2 cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 teaspoon sugar
1 each stick butter
2/3 cup milk

Place dry ingredients in bowl. Add butter and mix until mixture becomes crumbly. Form well in center and pour in milk all at once. Stir quickly to combine milk with dry ingredients. Continue stirring until dough forms a ball. Turn on to floured bread board and knead 1 minute. Roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness and cut in to biscuits. Dip biscuit cutter in flour to prevent dough sticking. Cut dough by pressing cutter straight down. Do not twist cutter. Bake at 450 degrees, 10-12 minutes.
