Barbecue Fried Chicken

1 each fryer chicken, cut up
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon cooking oil
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup water
1 each clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoon lemon juice

In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, and 1 teaspoon salt. Coat chicken pieces with flour mixture. Brown chicken in hot oil, over medium heat, about 15 minutes, turning to brown. In saucepan, combine ketchup, onion, water, garlic, remaining salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling, then reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Blend in lemon juice, add to chicken. Cover, cook over low heat, 35-40 minutes, or till tender. Serve with sauce.

Yield: 4 servings
