Bisquick Strawberry Shortcake

2 1/3 cup bisquick
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoon butter
1 quart strawberries, sliced
1 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir all ingredients except strawberries and 1 cup sugar, until soft dough forms. Drop by six spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake, 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Meanwhile, mix 1 cup sugar with strawberries until sugar dissolves. Split shortcakes, fill and top with sweetened strawberries. For rolled shortcakes, before making shortcakes, dough can be kneaded 10 times, rolled 1/2 inch thick, and cut with 3 inch cutter.

Yield: 6 servings
