Basic Cookie Mix

5 cup flour
2 1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 2/3 cup solid crisco shortening
In large mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in Crisco shortening, till mixture resembles coarse meal. Store in air tight container. Store up to 6 weeks at room temperature. For longer storage, place in freezer. To measure, lightly spoon cookie mix into measuring cup, and level. Makes about 11 cups.
