breads

1 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
4 2/3 cup bread flour
2 tablespoon dry milk
1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast

To make this recipe, use Basic or rapid cycle. Place all ingredients directly into built in bread pan. Add liquids first, then dry ingredients, adding yeast last. Add any fruits or nuts with the liquid. Makes a 2 pound loaf. Close lid and plug in bread maker. All bread type lights will flash. Select desired setting. To do this, press the bread type button until your choice is illuminated, press the crust color button until the desired color is illuminated, press the size button until the desired size loaf is illuminated. Press start. The bread maker will begin mixing the dough according to the selected cycle. The appropriate bread making stage will flash through the cycle, and the display window will count down the time remaining. To cancel any operation at any time, press and hold stop for 5 seconds. When the cycle is completed, 5 tones will sound. After 5 minutes, the bread maker will beep again and the lid will automatically open. The bread will slowly eject from the built in bread pan. If you want to remove bread before the 5 minutes are up, press the eject button. Open the lid all the way. Using oven mitts press down on the lid until opening pin is flush against the bread maker surface. Use the loaf lifter tool, by lowering it down the back of the bread pan and bringing it forward and under loaf. Squeeze lightly together, and lift the loaf up and out. After the loaf is removed, the kneading blade will remain in the bottom of the loaf. Remove it by using the twist off tool. To avoid condensation forming around the blade, remove bread while it is still hot. Hold bread in one hand using oven mitt. With the other hand twist the tool counter clockwise into the threaded area of the kneading blade and pull the blade straight out. Place the bread on a wire rack and allow it to cool. If you wish to use the timer to delay baking until later, you can postpone the completion of bread up to 14 hours later. Use the up and down buttons to set the timer. After selecting the bread type, color, and size, press the up button until the display reads the desired number of hours you wish to wait until your bread is baked. (For example, if it is 8 pm, and you want bread to be done at 7 am, press the up button until the display reads 11, because you want your bread to be done in 11 hours.) Then press start, and the timer will flash until the bread cycle begins. To clean, unplug bread machine and allow to cool completely before cleaning. Clean dough blade in warm sudsy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Wipe interior of bread machine with sudsy sponge or fill with warm sudsy water. Do not immerse entire machine in water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use strong house hold cleaners, as they will damage the nonstick surface. The removable lid can be wiped with a damp cloth or placed in warm sudsy water in sink or dish washer for cleaning. Dry thoroughly. Wipe exterior surface, only with a damp cloth or sponge.
