Apple Crumb Pie

6 each cooking apples
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1 each 9 inch pie shell

Pare and core apples and cut in to eighths. Arrange in unbaked pie shell. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with flour. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in hot 400 degree oven, 40 minutes. Cool. Spoon whipped cream atop and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Yield: 8 servings
