CHEESY BEEF RICE BAKE: (Ground Meat Mix)

2 cup ground meat mix
1/4 cup water
1 each clove garlic, minced
1 cup long grain rice
2 tablespoon butter
3 cup water
1 cup shredded carrot
2 teaspoon beef bouillon
1 teaspoon parsley
1 each onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon basil
2 oz american cheese, 2 slices
In saucepan, combine ground meat mix, 1/4 cup water, and garlic. Cover and cook over low heat, 15 minutes, breaking up meat mixture with fork. Cover and cook 5 minutes longer. Drain off liquid. Remove from pan to separate bowl and set aside. In saucepan, cook, uncooked rice in butter till golden brown, stirring frequently. Stir in water, carrot, bouillon granules, parsley, onion, salt and basil. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, 5 minutes. Stir in meat mixture. Turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover, bake at 325 degrees, 45 minutes, stirring twice during cooking. Shred cheese and sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered, 5 additional minutes, or till cheese melts.
