Chess Cake

2 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 each sticks butter, melted
4 each eggs
2 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Place brown sugar, and white sugar in mixing bowl. Add eggs. Melt butter and add to mixture; mix well. Add flour, baking powder, and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Add chopped nuts. Bake in 9-13 inch baking pan at 350 degrees, 35-40 minutes. 1 cup of chocolate chips may be added if desired. This cake is chewy for a more cake like texture omit baking powder.
