CHOCOLATE CAKE-PIE: (Easy Egg Pastry Crusts)

1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 pkg white cake mix
1 each pie crust, 9 inch

Place unbaked pie crust in 9 inch pie plate. Flute edges high. Set aside. In mixing bowl stir together, sugar and cocoa. Blend in hot water, and vanilla. Cook and stir till cocoa mixture is thickened and bubbley. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer. Remove from heat. Cool to luke warm. In mixing bowl, prepare cake mix, (1 layer size), according to package directions. Pour cake batter into unbaked pie crust. Pour chocolate sauce evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees, 40-45 minutes. Cool at least 1 hour before serving, or chill for later use. Serve with ice cream if desired.
