Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 each sticks butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon water
2 each eggs
1 cup nuts chopped
2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift flour soda and salt together and set aside. Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat until creamy. Add eggs and mix. Stir in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes. For double chocolate chocolate chip cookies, add 1/3 cup cocoa to cookie batter before baking.

Yield: 60 servings
