Chocolate Fudge

3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar
3 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup karo syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup canned milk
3 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Stir together sugar, vinegar, butter, Karo syrup, salt, and canned milk. Stir until well blended. Cook and stir till mixture begins to boil. Add chocolate, and continue to cook and stir till mixture returns to a boil. Cook and stir till mixture reaches Soft Ball Stage. Let cool till fudge is luke warm. Add vanilla and nuts. Beat until fudge is thickened and pour into a 9 inch pan which has been slightly greased. Makes 2 pounds.
