Corn Bread Cabbage Casserole

1 each head cabbage, cored
1 can cream of onion soup
1 pkg corn bread mix
2 cup american cheese, 8oz
1 each stick butter, melted

Core cabbage and cut into chunks. Cook until tender crisp. Drain cabbage. Place cooked cabbage in greased casserole dish. Add melted butter, cream of onion soup, and shredded cheese to cabbage in dish. Prepare corn bread mix according to package directions and pour over cabbage and cheese mixture. Bake at 375 degrees, 30-35 minutes, or till corn bread is done.
