Cranberry Muffins

1 1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 each eggs
2 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
2 cup fresh cranberries, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and butter together in a medium mixing bowl until completely blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt, in a separate medium mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to butter mixture. Stir in nuts and cranberries. Spoon into a 12 cup muffin tin. Fill each cup in muffin tin 3/4 full with batter. Bake 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
