Creamy Vanilla Frosting

1/2 each stick butter, softened
1/4 cup shortening
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
4 cup powdered sugar, (1 box)
Beat butter, shortening, and vanilla until thoroughly combined. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and beat until mixture is creamy. Add remaining powdered sugar alternately with milk, beating frosting to spreading consistancy. Makes about 2 1/3 cups frosting.
