Dilled Green Beans

2 quart green beans
1/2 lb country bacon, diced
1 each large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dill weed

In large covered pot, alternate layers of green beans, onion, and bacon. After each layer sprinkle with salt and dill weed. Add just enough liquid from beans to keep beans from sticking. Bring to a boil, and cover pot. Simmer for 1 hour.

Yield: 10 servings
