Grandmother's Fried Corn
vegetables
2 each ears corn, per person
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cut corn from cob in to large bowl. Just cover with water. Melt butter in skillet. Scrape corn cobs for juice into bowl. Add to skillet. Cook on medium heat 45 minutes, stirring frequently. Add salt and pepper.
Yield: 8 servings
