HAM AND CHEESE CASSEROLE: (Creamy Sauce Mix)

1 1/2 cup elbow macaroni
2 cup water
1 1/3 cup creamy sauce mix
1/2 cup american cheese, grated, 2oz
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
2 each egg yolks, beaten
8 oz cooked ham, diced
1 cup creamy cottage cheese
1 each dill pickle, chopped
1 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
2 tablespoon butter, melted

Cook macaroni till tender, about 10 minutes. Drain. In saucepan, slowly blend 2 cups cold water into creamy sauce mix. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer. Add grated cheese and mustard. Cook and stir till cheese melts. Stir small amount of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks. Return egg mixture to saucepan. Cook and stir till bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in macaroni, ham, cottage cheese, and pickle. Turn into greased 2 quart casserole. In small bowl, combine bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle buttered crumbs atop casserole. Bake at 350 degrees, 40-50 minutes.
