HAMBURGER PIE: (Ground Meat Mix)

2 cup ground meat mix
1/4 cup water
1 can green beans drained, 16oz
1 can tomato soup
1/4 cup water
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 each potatoes, peeled, quartered
1 each egg, beaten
1/2 each stick butter, softened
1 single milk
1/2 cup american cheese, grated

In 2 quart saucepan, combine frozen meat mix, and 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook over low heat, 15 minutes, breaking up meat with fork. Cook 5 minutes longer, and drain off liquid. Stir in drained green beans, tomato soup, 1/4 cup water, salt, and pepper. Turn meat mixture into greased, 1 1/2 quart casserole. In covered saucepan, cook potatoes in boiling salted water, 20 minutes, or just till tender. Drain potatoes. Place potatoes in medium mixing bowl and mash while hot. Blend in egg and 1/2 stick butter, and salt and pepper to taste. Add 1/2 cup, or enough milk to make potatoes fluffy, yet stiff enough to hold their shape. Spread mashed potatoes, evenly atop meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered, at 350 degrees, 25-30 minutes, or till heated through.
