Herbed Round Steak

1 each onion, chopped
2 tablespoon cooking oil
2 lb round steak
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoon flour
1 can cream of celery soup
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 pkg noodles, 8oz

In skillet, cook onion in cooking oil till tender. Spread in bottom of 13-9 inch baking dish. Cut steak into 8 portions. Trim off fat. Season with salt and pepper. Brown in remaining oil in skillet. Place meat in baking dish with onions. To make sauce, in saucepan, blend milk and flour. Stir in soup, oregano, and thyme. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer. Pour sauce over meat. Bake covered at 350 degrees, 1 hour. Serve meat over hot, cooked noodles. Stir sauce to blend and pour into gravy boat to pour over individual servings.
