Holiday Wassail

2 tablespoon whole cloves
1 tablespoon whole cardimom pods
2 each peels of 2 oranges
6 each 3 inch long cinnamon sticks
4 quart apple cider or apple juice
2 quart cranberry juice
In 8 quart sauce pot over high heat, heat cloves, cardimom, orange peels, cinnamon sticks, apple cider, and cranberry juice to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes. Pour hot drink into 8 quart heat safe punch bowl. Gently place whole apples in hot drink for garnish. Makes about 24 cups, or 48 1/2 cup servings.
