Homemade Vanilla Extract

6 each chopped vanilla beans
1 each fifth vodka

Place both ingredients in a 1 quart jar, and cover tightly. Store jar in a dark cool place for at least 2 weeks. When ready to use, pour vanilla into a bottle with narrow opening for ease in pouring. Use homemade vanilla the same as you would any store baught variety of vanilla.
