Irresistable Peanut Butter Chip Brownies

1 cup butter, softened
1 pkg cream cheese softened, 3oz
2 cup sugar
3 each eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 pkg peanut butter chips, (10oz)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease bottom of 9-13 inch baking pan. Beat butter, cream cheese, and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Combine thoroughly with butter mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips and spread batter in prepared pan. Bake, 35-40 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool, frost if desired, and cut into bars.BROWNIE FROSTING: Beat 3 tablespoons softened butter and 3 tablespoons cocoa until blended. Gradually add 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar, and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla, alternately with 1-2 tablespoons milk. Beat mixture thoroughly, till all ingredients are combined and frosting is smooth. Makes about 1 cup.
