Kentucky Bourbon Balls

3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 each stick softened butter
8 teaspoon bourbon, maker's mark
3/4 cup chopped nuts
6 oz package chocolate chips
1/3 each bar parafine

Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add bourbon and mix well. For best results use 90 proof bourbon. Add nuts. If to soft add more powdered sugar. Cover and refrigerate over night. Place chocolate chips and wax together in top of double boiler and melt. It is important to keep chocolate mixture well mixed and hot. It must not be to hot or chocolate coating will slip from candy. For best results keep mixture on low heat. Roll bourbon fondant mixture into small balls. Insert wooden pick in to balls, 1 at a time, and dip in to chocolate mixture. Place dipped candy on waxed paper. Store in air tight container when chocolate is set and firm to the touch.
