Lime Sherbet

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cup lite or table cream
1 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon vanilla

Boil sugar and water together until a thick syrup is formed. Add salt. Allow mixture to cool. Add cream, lime juice, and vanilla. Freeze according to ice cream freezer directions. Makes 3 quarts.

Yield: 36 servings
