Nutty Cranberry Orange Relish

1 pkg fresh cranberries, 12oz
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup slivered almonds

In saucepan combine, cranberries, sugar, water, orange peel, and orange juice. Cook uncovered 10 minutes, or till cranberry skins pop. Stir once or twice. Remove from heat. Stir in almonds. Cool to room temperature. Refrigerate 6-8 hours. Makes 4 cups.

Yield: 16 servings
