Orange Sauced Pears

1 can pear slices, 29oz
1/4 cup orange juice
1 each stick cinnamon, 3 inch
1 pkg coolwhip, 4oz
Drain pears, reserving 1 cup syrup. In medium saucepan combine reserved syrup, orange juice, and cinnamon stick. Bring to boiling. Add sliced pears. Cook uncovered, 1-2 minutes, or till heated through. Let stand till time to serve. Remove cinnamon stick. To serve, spoon pears and syrup into dessert dishes. Top with 1/2 container, (2 ounces), of Coolwhip. Refrigerate remaining Coolwhip. Garnish with a sprinkling of cinnamon, if desired.
Yield: 4 servings
