Peanut Crisp Bars

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
2 cup rice crispies
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar

In saucepan combine, sugar, corn syrup, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Cook and stir till sugar is dissolved. Blend in peanut butter. Stir in rice crispies. Pat mixture evenly into 9 inch baking pan. Melt butter and brown sugar. Remove from heat, add milk and vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar. Beat till smooth. Spread over rice crispie mixture. Chill, cut into bars.

Yield: 24 servings
