Quick Tortoni Dessert Cups

1 quart vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup milk
1 single chocolate chips
2 tablespoon maraschino cherries, chopped
1/4 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
In medium mixing bowl, soften ice cream. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon into 6 dessert dishes. Freeze till firm. Let stand at room temperature, 10 minutes, before serving. Garnish with shaved chocolate, additional cherry halves, and almonds, if desired.
Yield: 6 servings
