Raspberry Pecan Bars

2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts chopped
10 oz jar raspberry jam
1/2 cup nuts chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla. Blend until mixture is the consistancy of small peas. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts. Set aside 3/4 cup of crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture in to lightly greased 9 inch baking dish. Spread jam atop. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over nuts. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut in to squares.
