Roast Turkey
main dish, poultry
1 each turkey, large
1/2 cup cooking oil
Remove neck and gibblets from turkey. Rinse turkey inside and out and pat dry. Coat entire surface of turkey with cooking oil. Do not use margerine as it will burn and prevent even browning. Place on broiler pan. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees, for 3 hours. Basting is not necessary.
