SAUCY MUSHROOM BEEF PATTIES: (Herb Stuffing Mix)

1 can mushrooms, 3oz
1 cup herb stuffing mix
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 lb ground beef
4 each slices french bread
2 tablespoon dijon mustard

Preheat broiler. Drain mushrooms, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. In medium mixing bowl, mix 1/3 cup mushrooms, herb stuffing mix, 1/3 cup sour cream, onion, worcestershire sauce, and nutmeg. Add ground beef, and mix well. Shape using hamburger press, or with hands, into 4 patties. Broil, 3-4 inches from heat, 5-6 minutes. Turn, and broil 5-6 minutes, longer. Toast bread slices in broiler pan, during last few minutes of broiling beef patties. Meanwhile, in saucepan, mix reserved mushroom liquid, remaining mushrooms, remaining sour cream, and mustard. Heat through, but do not boil. Serve broiled mushroom patties, on toasted bread. Pass sauce to serve atop patties.
