Shaker Barbicue Sauce

2/3 cup onions, finely chopped
6 tablespoon butter
2 cup ketchup
2/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
4 teaspoon prepared mustard

Cook onion in butter until tender. Add all other ingredients. Cook covered, 10 minutes. Keeps quite a while in the refrigerator. To cook with beef, chicken, or pork, pour desired amount of sauce over meat, and bake in oven until done.

Yield: 12 servings
