Shaker Beef Hash

2 cup water
2 each beef boullion cubes
4 cup beef, cooked, cubed
4 tablespoon butter
4 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon red pepper

In medium sauce pan bring 2 cups water to a boil. Add beef boullion cubes, and stir until cubes are dissolved, to make beef broth. Set aside for future use. In a large sauce pan, heat butter and add flour, stirring constantly. Add beef broth slowly, stirring until mixture is thickened. Add worcestershire sauce, and onion. Add salt and pepper. Cool slightly, and add beef. Serve hot. Beef hash may need to be thinned with additional hot beef broth if it begins to thicken upon standing. Delicious with Shaker Indian Griddle Cakes.
