Shaker Bourbon Sauce For Ice Cream

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water, scant
1 cup white sugar
1 cup strawberry jam
1 each lemon, juice only
1 each lemon, grated rind
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 each orange, chopped
1 each orange, grated rind
1/2 cup makers mark bourbon

Mix brown sugar, white sugar, and water. Boil until it spins a thread from spoon. Add jam, lemon juice and grated lemon rind, nuts, chopped orange and grated orange rind, and bourbon. Mix well. Put it in the refrigerator and let ripen. It gets better the longer it sits.
